She is officially 3 yo.

Alhamdulillah....Marha genap 3 tahun semalam (8.8.2012 bersamaan 20 Ramadhan 1433H)

Cepatnya masa berlalu....anak ibu dah 3 tahun....macam baru semalam Marha dilahirkan...disusukan. Adoi rindu pula rasa nak beranak kecil lagi....insyaallah semoga Allah memakbulkan doa kami tahun depan Marha bolehlaa pikul tanggungjawab jadi kakak pula.

Semalam, sambutan sekadar kecil-kecilan di rumah....dengan topi princess, tiramisu cake, balloons dan ibu juga ayah.

Syukur nikmat Allah.

Apa yang menarik semalam....kejadian pagi 8.8.2012 segar di ingatan

Ibu: Happy birthday marha...today is ur birthday...u r 3!!

Marha: haaa???? yeay!! where's balloons, cake and present?

Ibu: Kita tunggu berbuka nanti ye...ibu doakan marha sentiasa cintakan Allah, al-quran dan sunnah. Berkasih sayang dengan semua...dan sentiasa dalam kebaikan. *sambil tadah tangan spontan

Marha: aminn...i want my present! *pon sambil tadah tangan

Ibu: bertuah! hahaaa.

Marha sangat-sangat cheeky...sesuai dengan namanya MARHA=periang NABILAH=bijaksana. Sangat kurang buat masalah, jarang menangis...ada je cara nak hiburkan hati semua orang walaupun dia dalam keadaan 'salah'. Hahaaaa. Ibu sayang kamu!

Pencapaian kamu sebagai anak berusia 3 tahun sangat memberangsangkan ibu. Semoga hati kamu sentiasa terang dalam menerima benda-benda baru dalam hidup ini. Ibu doakan kamu  tetap dalam cintakan Allah dan Rasulullah. Ikutilaa segala yang termaktub dalam Al-quran dan sunnah....insyaallah kamu akan menjadi anak ibu yang membantu ibu dan ayah ke syurga nanti. Marha....kehidupan hakiki kita di sana nak...jalanilaa kehidupan kamu sebagai seorang muslim sejati. Adeh macam wasiat pulak bunyinyaa....sayu bila teringat salah satu bekal untuk kita bawa mati adalah doa anak soleh dan solehah. Jika gagal ibu mendidik kamu, ibu terpaksa melalui azab yang pedih....ibu takut ke sana, ayah juga tidak mahu ke sana. Maka mari kita bantu satu sama lain, kita pilih SYURGA!! 

What's next? Ibu dah mula operasi mencari kindy/ tadika/ playschool yang sesuai untuk Marha.....Semoga usaha ibu dipermudahkan dan Marha akan seronok dengan persekitaran baru nanti....Maka dengan itu usaha mencari 'the best' untuk Marha bermulaaaa.....

An Interview with Muhammad Ali

The following incident took place during an interview with the world famous boxer, Muhammad Ali.
It all started with an innocent question: You have beaten some of the toughest men in the world in the ring. What scares you the most?
Ali: [Points to his wife, to much laughter]
Lonnie Ali: Come on, Muhammad, joking aside, tell them what really scares you.
Ali: Nothing.
Lonnie Ali: Nothing on this earth maybe, but ... tell them Muhammad.
[There is a long pause]
Ali: Not going to heaven.
[Everyone present became silent. Sister Lonnie Ali had tears flowing down her cheeks. Others present were also shaken and silent. A few wiping their eyes. Br. Malik Mujahid broke the silence, patting Muhammad Ali on his arm.]
Malik Mujahid: "No, Insha Allah, you will enter Jannah because you have helped so many people."
Ali: [Muhammad Ali turned his face towards Br. Malik Mujahid, looking at him as though asking: Are you sure? Are you sure about yourself?]
Malik Mujahid: "The Mumin lives between hope and fear."
Where as the toughest man in the world is wondering about his place in Jannah, what do you think about yourself. Will you go to Jannah? Its a question which everyone must ask himself and herself. A good answer may help us focus on the everlasting life.
We pray to Allah for the best of both worlds. If we want Allah to give us the best, we will have to strive for it.

Berhati-hati memilih JUBAH

Niat dan usaha menutup aurat itu sangat mulia dan sememangnya kewajipan kita sebagai muslimah Islam tetapi biarlah mengikut tatacara sepatutnya janganlah kerana asyik ingin berfesyen sehingga lupa yang pakaian yang kita pakai itu jarang, singkat atau ketat sehingga menampakkan susuk tubuh. Penulis tertarik dengan tajuk BerJUBAH Tetapi Telanjang ?. Siapa sangka jubah yang kita pakai hari ini kebanyakkannya lebih kepada fesyen bukan kepada 'menutup aurat'. Sama-sama kita memperingatkan...

Berhenti MeLUCAHkan Jubah Muslimah ! Berhenti MeSEKSIkan Jubah Muslimah. Ini satu teguran penulis kepada pengusaha-pengusaha butik, kakitangan-kakitangan kerajaan, cikgu-cikgu dan wanita-wanita Melayu Islam sekalian. Mungkin di tanah arab, Jubah adalah satu pakaian budaya tetapi di Malaysia, Jubah adalah simbol pakaian mulia yang mencerminkan personaliti akhlak Islam. Jubah membawa imej Muslimah yang merendah diri, pemalu, sederhana dan mulia. Sudah pastinya, ciri utama Jubah yang dikehendaki Islam adalah menutup-memelihara Aurat dan bukannya membalut-membonjol Aurat seperti yang diamalkan segelintir Muslimah moden zaman kini.

Kemajuan industri fesyen Muslimah tidak boleh dijadikan alasan. Imej kesederhanaan dan kemuliaan Jubah WAJIB dikekalkan dan TIDAK BOLEH dirosakkan dengan sebarang elemen-elemen tabarruj dan berhias untuk menunjuk cantik. Apatah lagi jika Jubah cuba digabung-padankan dengan rekaan yang sendat dan ketat, sudah pasti hukumnya HARAM dan berdosa besar di dalam Islam. Akan terhasillah nanti sepasang Jubah yang MAKSIAT.

Telah menjadi trend fesyen sejak kebelakangan ini, ramai wanita Islam di Malaysia gemar mengenakan Jubah untuk ke majlis-majlis dan ke tempat kerja, khususnya pada hari Jumaat. Malang sekali, Jubah-jubah yang dipakai mereka sudah hilang faedah dan hikmahnya di sisi Islam. Memang Jubah mereka labuh dan tidak menampakkan warna kulit, tetapi rekaaannya sengaja mengikut potongan badan si pemakai khususnya di bahagian dada dan pinggang. Seolah-olah mereka cuba memasukkan unsur 'ketat' dari fesyen kebaya ke dalam fesyen Jubah.

Selain daripada itu, Jubah juga tidak sesuai diperbuat daripada fabrik yang terlalu lembut kerana ia akan melekat di badan. Diburukkan lagi dengan rekaan Jubah yang sendat di bahagian dada, maka akan kelihatanlah bentuk buah dada yang ketara dari luar Jubah. Sekiranya rekaan sesebuah Jubah Muslimah itu direka mengikut lenggok bahagian pinggang, maka di bahagian punggung juga turut akan menjadi sendat. Fabrik Jubah yang terlalu lembut berwarna plain akan menyebabkan bentuk seluar dalam kelihatan dari luar Jubah apabila wanita Islam itu duduk, berdiri dan berjalan. Istighfar !

Tujuan asal Jubah adalah untuk meminimum dan menghalang kesan seksual dari Aurat tubuh wanita ke atas pandangan nafsu syahwat kaum lelaki yang melihat. Tetapi, apa gunanya lagi, jika Jubah pun sudah mula disendat dan di-kebaya-kan akan rekaannya. Apa maknanya Jubah Muslimah sekiranya lelaki boleh terangsang nafsu apabila melihatnya.

Ingatlah, Jubah yang direstui dan diberikan pahala di dalam Islam adalah Jubah Muslimah yang dipakai kerana kesungguhan mahu memelihara Aurat bukannya kerana keseronokan mengikut perkembangan fesyen. Jubah Muslimah yang sebenar mestilah longgar dan lapang. Maka, rekaan Jubah Muslimah tidak boleh ditempah sendat dan mengikut alur bentuk tubuh wanita.

Baiklah penulis akan ulas satu-satu supaya kita sama-sama boleh mencerapnya dan lebih mudah untuk mengamalkannya.

1. Black seed atau lebih dikenali sebagai Habbatus sauda'

Maksud hadis Nabi: 'Habbatus sauda' adalah ubat bagi segala penyakit melainkan mati'

Menurut Dr.Hamid, pengambilan habbatus sauda' digalakkan pada sebelum, sewaktu dan selepas kehamilan. Pengambilan di awal kehamilan boleh mengelakkan keguguran. Selain daripada pengambilan habbatus sauda' ketika hamil, pengambilan yang berterusan tidak kira jantina mampu mengekalkan tahap kesihatan yang optima.Habbatus sauda' juga mampu menggalakkan pengeluaran susu.Kombinasi lemak dan hormon yang didapati di dalam habbatus sauda' menyebabkan pengeluaran susu ibu yang menyusukan bayi bertambah.

Hasil Kajian Di Amerika, Nigella sativa yang merupakan nama latin dari minyak jintan hitam, telah mendapat kejayan luar biasa sebagai makanan suplemen. Di Jerman, minyak habbatus sauda' telah tersedia dalam bentuk kapsul di farmasi. Analisis ekstrak mengenai minyak dan kesan-kesannya juga telah dilakukan di Amerika dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahawa minyak kuno ini juga mujarab untuk mengubati segala macam penyakit. Para saintis Amerika telah merasa yakin bahwa kesan antibakteri dan antimikotis dari minyak habbatus sauda' yang merupakan ubat Asia Timur dan di Asia berlangsung dalam waktu yang lama.

4. Fish (fillet)

Ikan adalah sumber protein yang mudah diserap oleh darah ibu seterusnya diangkut melalui tali pusat dipindahkan kepada bayi. Apa yang penting pada bermula 5 bulan kandungan dan ke atas Dr.Hamid menyarankan supaya ibu-ibu mengambil lebih protein termasuklah daging lembu, kambing, ayam, telur, susu, makanan laut dan pelbagai kekacang. 

Harapan penulis adalah informasi ini akan berguna kepada ibu-ibu mengandung di luar sana. Ini adalah antara langkah awal persediaan melahirkan generasi yang bijak pandai. NO to alcohol

Why is the consumption of alcohol prohibited in Islam ?
Is there any scientific other reason also besides health risk ?

Answer:
Alcohol has been the scourge of human society since time immemorial. It continues to cost countless human lives, and causes terrible misery to millions

throughout the world. Alcohol is the root cause of several problems facing society. The statistics of soaring crime rates, increasing instances of mental

illnesses and millions of broken homes throughout the world bear mute testimony to the destructive power of alcohol.

1. Prohibition of alcohol in the Qur’an The Glorious Qur’an prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verse: “O ye who believe! Intoxicants and

Gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an Abomination – of Satan’s handiwork; eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.” [Al-Qur’an 5:90]

2. Prohibition of alcohol in the Bible
The Bible prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verses:
a. “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” [Proverbs 20:1]
b. “And be not drunk with wine.” [Ephesians 5:18]

3. Alcohol inhibits the inhibitory centre The human beings possess an inhibitory center in their brains. This inhibitory centre prevents the person from

doing things that he considers wrong. For instance a person does not normally use abusive language while addressing his parents or elders. If he has to

answer the call of nature, his inhibitory centre will prevent him from doing so in public. Therefore he uses the toilet. When a person consumes alcohol, the

inhibitory centre itself is inhibited. That is precisely the reason that an inebriated person is often found to be indulging in behaviour that is completely

uncharacteristic of him. For instance the intoxicated person is found to use abusive and foul language and does not realize his mistake even if he is

addressing his parents. Many even urinate in their clothes. Neither do they talk nor walk properly. They even misbehave.

4. Cases of adultery, rape, incest and AIDS are found more among alcoholics

According to National Crime Victimization Survey Bureau of Justice (U.S. Department of Justice) in the year 1996 alone everyday on an average 2,713 rapes

took place. The statistics tell us that the majority of the rapists, were intoxicated while committing the crime. The same is true in cases of molestation.

According to statistics, 8% of Americans commit incest i.e. one in every twelve to thirteen persons in America is involved in incest. Almost all the cases of

incest are due to intoxication of one or both the persons involved. One of the major factors associated with the spread of AIDS, the most dreaded disease, is

alcoholism.

5. Every alcoholic was initially a social drinker Many may argue in favour of liquor by calling themselves ‘social drinkers’. They claim that they only have

one or two pegs and they have self-control and so never get intoxicated. Investigations reveal that every alcoholic started as a social drinker. Not a single

alcoholic or drunkard initially starts drinking with the intention of becoming an alcoholic or a drunkard. No social drinker can say that I have been having

alcohol for several years and that I have so much selfcontrol that I have never been intoxicated even a single time.

6. If a person is intoxicated just once and commits something shameful, it will remain with him for a lifetime. Suppose a ‘social drinker’ loses his self-

control just once. In a state of intoxication he commits rape or incest. Even if the act is later regretted, a normal human being is likely to carry the

guilt throughout his life. Both the perpetrator and the victim are irreparably and irreversibly damaged.

7. Alcohol is prohibited in the Hadith The Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
a. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3371. “Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils.”
b. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3392 “Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity, is prohibited even in a

small quantity.” Thus there is no excuse for a nip or a tot.
c. Not only those who drink alcohol are cursed but also those who deal with them directly or indirectly are cursed by Allah. According to Sunan Ibn-I-Majah

Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3380. It was reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “God’s

curse falls on ten groups of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distills it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one

who transports it, the one to who it has been brought, the one whom serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it

and the one who buys it for someone else.”

8. Diseases associated with alcoholism There are several scientific reasons for the prohibition of consumption of intoxicants i.e. alcohol. The maximum

number of deaths in the world related to any one particular cause is due to the consumption of alcohol. Millions of people die every year only because of

intake of alcohol. I need not go into the details of all the ill-effects of alcohol since most of them are commonly known.

Below is a simple list of few of the alcohol related illnesses:
1. Cirrhosis of Liver is the most well known alcohol associated disease.
2. Others are Cancer of Oesophagus, Cancer of Head and Neck, Cancer of Liver (Hepatoma), Cancer of Bowel, etc.
3. Oesophagitis, Gastritis, Pancreatitis and Hepatitis are linked with alcohol consumption.
4. Cardiomyopathy, Hypertension, Coronary Artherosclerosis, Angina and Heart Attacks are linked with heavy alcohol intakes.
5. Strokes, Apoplexy, Fits and different types of Paralysis are linked with alcohol intake.
6. Peripheral Neuropathy, Cortical Atrophy, Cerebellar Atrophy are well-known syndromes caused by alcohol consumption.
7. Wernicke – Korsakoff syndrome with amnesia of recent events, confabulations and retainment of memory to old events with different types of paralysis are

mainly due to thiamine deficiency due to excessive alcohol intake.
8. Beriberi and other deficiencies are not uncommon among alcoholics. Even Pellagra occurs in alcoholics.
9. Delerium Tremens is a serious complication that may occur during recurrent infection of alcoholics or post operatively. It also occurs during abstention

as a sign of withdrawal effect. It is quite serious and may cause death even if treated in well equipped centres.
10. Numerous Endocrine Disorders have been associated with alcoholism ranging from Myxodema to Hyperthyroidism and Florid Cushing Syndrome.
11. Hematological ill effects are long and variable. Folic acid deficiency, however, is the most common manifestation of alcoholic abuse resulting in

Macrocytic Anemia. Zeive’s syndrome is a triad of Hemolytic Anemia, Jaundice and Hyperlipaedemia that follows alcoholic binges.
12. Thrombocytopenia and other platelet abnormalities are not rare in alcoholics.
13. The commonly used tablet metronidazole (flagyl) interacts badly with alcohol.
14. Recurrent infection is very common among chronic alcoholics. The resistance to disease and the immunological defense system are compromised by alcohol

intake.
15. Chest infections are notorious in alcoholics. Pneumonia, Lung Abcess, Emphysema and Pulmonary Tuberculosis are all common in alcoholics.
16. During acute alcoholic intoxication, the drunk person usually vomits, the cough reflexes which are protective are paralysed. The vomitus thus easily pass

to the lung causing Pneumonia or Lung Abscess. Occasionally it may even cause suffocation and death.
17. The ill effects of alcohol consumption on women deserves special mention. Females are more vulnerable to alcohol-related Cirrhosis than men. During

pregnancy alcohol consumption has a severe detrimental effect on the foetus. Foetal Alcohol Syndrome is being recognised more and more in the medical

profession.
18. Skin diseases are also related to alcohol indulgence.
19. Eczema, Alopecia, Nail Dystrophy, Paronychia (infection around the nails) and Angular Stomatitis (inflammation of the angle of the mouth) are common

diseases among alcoholics.

The Islamic Research Foundation has published a pamphlet that says:
If alcohol is a disease, it is the only disease that:
- Is sold in bottles
- Is advertised in newspapers, magazines, on radio and television
- Has licensed outlets to spread it
- Produces revenue for the government
- Brings violent deaths on the highways
- Destroys family life and increases crime
- Has no germs or viral cause

The virtues of Laylatul Qadr (Night of Decree)

Abu Hurairah RAA reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:

"Whosoever performs the night prayer on the night of Al-Qadr with Eemaan (firm belief) and seeking reward will have all his past sins forgiven ." [1]

This hadeeth is evidence for the virtue of the night of Al-Qadr as well as performing qiyaam during it. And it indicates that it is a grand night, which Allaah has honored and made better than a thousand months in regards to its blessing and the blessings found in the righteous deeds that are performed in it. Thus it is better than the worship of a thousand months and that is equivalent to eighty-three years and four months. Due to this, whoever performs qiyaam (night prayer) with true faith and while seeking reward in it, will be forgiven his past sins. There were certain verses concerning this virtue:

Allaah says:

"We sent it (the Qur'aan) down on a blessed night. Verily We are Ever-Warning. Therein (on that night) is decreed every matter of ordainment ." [2]

Therefore, it is a “blessed night” meaning it possesses much good and blessing due to its merit and the great reward that awaits the one who does good deeds in it. Among its blessings, is that Allaah revealed the Qur’aan in it. Allaah says:

"Verily, We have sent it (the Qur'aan) down in the night of Al-Qadr. And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr is? The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Rooh (Jibreel) by their Lord's permission with all decrees. (All that night) there is peace, until the appearance of dawn ." [3]

Ibn Katheer (rahimahullah) said concerning Allaah’s saying: “Therein descend the angels and the Rooh”:

“This means that the descending of the angels increases during this night due to the vast amount of its blessings. And the angels descend along with the descent of blessing and mercy, just as they descend during the time when the Qur’aan is recited and encompass the gatherings in which Allaah is remembered and spread their wings for the true seeker of knowledge, showing respect for him.”[4]

This night occurs only in Ramadaan, since Allaah revealed the Qur’aan in it. He informs us that its revelation occurred during the month of Ramadaan in His saying:

"Verily, We have sent it (the Qur'aan) down in the night of Al-Qadr." [5]

And His saying: "The month of Ramadaan in which was revealed the Qur'aan." [6]

This means that its revelation from Allaah to His Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) began in it.

Allaah’s statement: “The night of Al-Qadr” is either an indicative of the honor and station of that night, as it is said: "Such and such person has great Qadr". The conjunction of "the night" to Al-Qadr is the joining of a descriptive feature to it, thus making it mean "An honorable night". The word “Al-Qadr” may also be in reference to the ordainment and disposal of affairs. Thus, its being joined to the word "the night" would be in order to denote a place or time to it. So it would mean "the night in which all that will occur in the following year will be decreed." This is similar to Allaah's saying:

"Therein (on that night) is decreed every matter of ordainment." [7]

Qataadah said of this: "Therein is decreed every matter of the (upcoming) year"[8] and Ibn Al-Qayyim said that this is the correct opinion . [9]

What seems most correct is that there is nothing that restricts the possibility of these two understandings and Allaah knows best.

His (the Prophet’s) statement: “with Eemaan” means with firm conviction in what Allaah has prepared for those who stand in prayer during this magnificent night. And “seeking reward” means looking for reward and the attainment of recompense.

Thus, this is a grand night, which Allaah has chosen for beginning the revelation of the Qur’aan. So the Muslim must acknowledge its weight in worth, by guarding it and spending it in worship whilst having firm conviction and seeking the reward of Allaah, in order that Allaah may forgive all of his previous sins. This is why the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) warned us about being heedless of this night and being neglectful of spending it in worship, for the Muslim would be prevented from its good.

Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:

"Ramadaan has come to you -- a blessed month. Allaah has made it obligatory upon you to fast in it. During this month, the gates of heaven are open, the gates of the Hellfire are closed and the evil devils are chained. To Allaah belongs a night in it, which is better than a thousand months. Whosoever is prevented from its good, then he has been prevented." [10] 

The Muslim should supplicate much on the nights in which the night of Al-Qadr is sought. And he should supplicate with that which the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) instructed ‘Aa’ishah RAA with, when she asked him: “What if I know on which night the night of Al-Qadr occurs, what should I say?” So he (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Say: 'Allaahumma Innaka 'Afuwwun Tuhibbul-'Afwa Fa’affoo ‘annee.' " [O Allaah, indeed you are All-Pardoning. You love forgiveness, so forgive me.” [11]

Ibn Katheer (rahimahullah) said:

“It is recommended to supplicate a lot at all times and (to supplicate) more than that during the month of Ramadaan, its last ten days and its odd days. And it is highly recommended to increase ones invoking with this supplication: ‘O Allaah, indeed you are All-Pardoning. You love forgiveness, so forgive me.’” [12]

And Allaah knows best.
